Марс

Mars, 31 July 2020, 02:27 (UTC +3)

For a month and a half, Mars has grown noticeably to 14.47 arc seconds and turned an interesting sideways. The atmosphere condition during the capturing was very stable, which made it possible to capture many small details on the surface of Mars. Interestingly, Olympus darkened again, although earlier I was able to record the cloud accumulation above the peak. I look forward to the opposition of Mars, but even with such a small angular size, the planet is of great interest both for astrophotographers and for fans of visual observations.

The visibility of Mars is gradually improving – the planet is becoming larger and earlier rises above the horizon. The atmosphere was unstable, however, small details on the screen were easily visible and there were no problems with focusing. Partly cloudy interfered. Interestingly, before the cloud covered Mars, turbulence rapidly intensified.

The conditions for observing Mars are gradually improving, it now rises above the horizon. The angular size is almost unchanged – 11.71 seconds of arc. The phase is clearly visible – the planet looks like an egg.
